Here are some of the meeting results from the June Mosquito Meeting.
Mosquitoes are flying around and so is the plane. They are putting out the chemical and working it hard!
The request for proposals are in and a company was selected to start designing a new vehicle and chemical storage building along with a building to house the proposed fish pond/hatchery.
The audit was completed and based on the revenue and the actual expenses of the District, they are collecting about $240,000 more than what is needed, with somewhere around $1,000,000 in reserves, of which, about $500,000 +/- will be used for the improvements.
At the next meeting, a preliminary budget session is planned. We will need to look at capital improvements and maintenance then look at a PROPERTY TAX REDUCTION, I have suggested that in the past and will again, if necessary.
