October meeting results.
The district is doing a great job in controlling mosquitoes.
The State of Utah as experienced human cases of West Nile. 5 cases total with one death as a result.
On to business....
There was a proposal to purchase a new truck for the district, the truck to be replaced was 2005 model year with 46,000 miles. I was the only Board member who voted NO.
Just because the money is there, does not mean it must be spent!
There was also a proposal for a Christmas Employee Retention Allowance. After the discussion on the matter and a compelling comment by Mayor Hendrix of Harrisville City, I supported the motion of $275 for full time and $150 for part time employees.
I will keep trying.
Sincerely,
Councilman Mileski
